Step 1: Prep

For previously lightened hair, prep the hair for a VIVIDS application by applying the Prep Formula to the previously lightened hair only.

Process 5 minutes at room temperature, cleanse the hair with PRAVANA’s Intense Therapy Cleanse and dry the hair completely.

Step 2: Sectioning

Divide the hair into two front sections by taking a vertical parting from forehead to crown and a radial parting from crown to behind the ear on each side. Divide the back into two sections by taking a horizontal parting along the top of the occipital bone.

Step 3: Shadow Root Application and Color Melt

Apply VIVIDS Formula 1 as a Shadow Root to the entire base feathering it out 2”.

Then alternate Color Melting VIVIDS Formula 2 and VIVIDS Formula 3 in the mid-lengths and ends, blending them into Formula 1.

Process 30 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with cold water and high water pressure until the water runs clear. Apply PRAVANA’s Color Protect Condition, rinse and style as desired.
