Step 1: Sectioning

Section the hair into four equal quadrants by taking a radial parting from ear to ear and a vertical parting from nose to crown and crown to nape.

Step 2: Global Blonding

Pre-lighten the hair utilizing the Lightening Formula and a platinum card technique by taking thin 1/8” slices and applying the lightener ½” away from the scalp through the ends.

Once the hair has reached 70% of the lift, slide the foil down slightly and apply the same Lightening Formula on scalp to the hair that has not yet been lightened.

Process up to 55 minutes at room temperature until you reach a Level 9. Cleanse with PRAVANA’s Color Protect Cleanse and dry the hair completely.

Step 3: VIVIDS Sectioning

Create a Diamond section in the crown of the head leaving a 1” Halo section around the perimeter. Divide the Diamond section into four equal sub-sections.

Step 4: VIVIDS Application

Beginning in the front of the Halo section, dividing it in half, take a ¼” parting and apply VIVIDS Neons Formula 1 as a shadow root melting it into Neon Yellow. Take another ¼” parting and apply VIVIDS Neons Formula 1 melting it into Neon Orange. Complete this side in this alternating pattern and repeat on the other side. Continue the same pattern in the back all the way around the Halo section.

Moving to the Diamond section, beginning in one of the four sub-sections, take a ¼” parting and apply VIVIDS Neons Formula 2 as a shadow root melting it into Neon Yellow. Take another ¼” parting and apply VIVIDS Neons Formula 2 melting it into Neon Orange. Take a third ¼” parting and apply VIVIDS Neons Formula 2 melting it into Neon Pink. Continue this pattern throughout the remaining three sub-sections.

Optional

While the color is processing create a 3-4” rainbow clip-in weft applying each of the five VIVIDS Rainbow Shades from roots to ends every half inch repeating until you run out of hair.

Process 30 minutes at room temperature. Rinse the hair (and the weft) with cold water and high water pressure until the water runs clear. Condition with PRAVANA’s Color Protect Condition and style as desired.

After styling the hair with a 1” barrel curling iron, install the clip-in rainbow weft to one side of the hair along the parietal ridge so an inch or so of the natural hair falls over it.
