Application
Step 1: Sectioning
Section out a halo section around the perimeter of the head isolating the fringe. Divide the fringe in half for an asymmetrical section.
Step 2: Pre-Lightening
Pre-lighten the halo and asymmetrical fringe sections utilizing the Lightening Formula and a platinum card technique by taking thin ¼” slices and applying the lightener ½” away from the scalp through the ends first.
Then, once the hair has reached 70% of the lift, apply the same Lightening Formula on scalp.
Pro Tip
Apply lightener “like cream cheese on a bagel” to ensure full saturation for even lift.
Process up to 55 minutes at room temperature until you reach a Level 10. Cleanse with PRAVANA’s The Perfect Blonde Cleanse to neutralize any remaining warmth. Towel-dry and section the hair again as in Step 1 and dry the halo and asymmetrical fringe sections completely.
Step 3: VIVIDS Application
Beginning on one side of the nape area, take a ½” diagonal back section and apply VIVIDS Formula 1 from roots to ends.
Take a ½” diagonal back section above that section and apply VIVIDS Formula 2.
Take a third ½” diagonal back section above the previous section and apply VIVIDS Formula 3. Continue in this pattern alternating the three VIVIDS formulas throughout the halo and asymmetrical fringe sections.
Pro Tip
Use the 3-Inch Rule when applying VIVIDS, reloading your brush every three inches.
Process 30 minutes at room temperature. Rinse with cold water and high water pressure until the water runs clear. Condition the hair with PRAVANA’s Color Protect Condition and style as desired.
