Every great artist starts with a palette, and VIVIDS Everlasting proves that sometimes less really is more. VIVIDS Everlasting keeps things intentionally focused with five highly versatile shades, each capable of standing on its own or transforming another formula.
- Violet Reign — A deep, dark inky plum that adds richness, depth, and dramatic dimension. This is not a match for VIVIDS Violet, but a much darker, moodier purple. To brighten the results for a closer match to VIVIDS Violet, mix 50/50 with Mystic Magenta. Applied to Level 7 or lighter for maximum vibrancy.
- Scarlette Red — A bright, warm red with true scarlet character. For a cooler result, mix with 1-2g of Violet Reign per 30g of color. Applied to Level 7 or lighter for maximum vibrancy.
- Poison Berry — A rich, saturated jammy berry that lives perfectly between red and violet. It’s one of those rare fashion shades that feels bold yet surprisingly wearable across a wide range of skin tones. Applied to Level 7 or lighter for maximum vibrancy.

Keep in mind, for the shades with a recommended Level 7, this is for true to tone color and maximum vibrancy. If you apply the same shade over Level 8, Level 9 or Level 10, the vibrancy intensifies as the canvas becomes lighter.
The Canvas
A unique feature of VIVIDS Everlasting permanent hair color is its ability to lift or deposit. For virgin hair, mix with 20, 30 or 40 Volume for up to 1-3 levels of lift. Mixing with 10 Volume creates a deposit only formula that can be applied over previously lightened or blonde hair without the need for additional pre-lightening or prep. For true to tone vibrancy, the hair must be at least a Level 7 so if you have a client who is darker than level 7, you do need to pre-lighten, but not necessarily to platinum blonde unless you are using Enchanted Pink or creating a pastel shade that requires a lighter canvas.
As with every great color service, the result starts with the canvas. Natural level, previous color history, porosity, underlying pigment, and developer selection all influence the finished result. Understanding these variables allows VIVIDS Everlasting to become even more versatile, whether you’re creating a subtle violet enhancement or a bold fashion statement.

Boost the Tone
Sometimes all a formula needs is a subtle push. Using just 1–2 grams of VIVIDS Everlasting can intensify, shift, or refine the direction of a ChromaSilk permanent formula without dramatically changing its overall level.
Add 1-2g Violet Reign to any ChromaSilk and/or VIVIDS Everlasting formula to cool them down and neutralize gold. 30g Scarlette Red + 1-2g Violet Reign creates a cooler red. 30g Enchanted Pink + 1-2g Violet Reign shifts the formula towards a soft lilac.
Build the Formula
Looking for more fashion influence? Increasing the percentage of VIVIDS Everlasting allows you to gradually transform a traditional permanent formula into something richer, brighter, and more expressive while maintaining complete formulation flexibility.
ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color’s Intense Reds are very vibrant, but when you want to take it to the next level, mix 50/50 with Scarlette Red. Adding Mystic Magenta to Scarlette Red brings it into an electric pinkier red. If Rose Gold is the goal, mix Enchanted Pink 50/50 with ChromaSilk 8.3 for a coppery rose gold or 9.3 for a true rose gold.
Create Something Entirely New
At higher ratios, or as a standalone application, VIVIDS Everlasting creates rich, saturated fashion shades with permanent performance, but they may be warmer or cooler than the desired result. Mixing with ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color allows you to neutralize or enhance underlying pigment to perfect your formula. This is where colorists can truly customize formulas that don’t exist in any swatch book.
Mix 75% Enchanted Pink with 25% ChromaSilk 10.07 for a cooler pink, 10.03 to keep it soft and warm or 10.08 for an iridescent, pearly pink. Add .11 to your Violet Reign formula to neutralize red underlying pigment to let the violet shine through.
Pastel Possibilities
To lighten any shade of VIVIDS Everlasting, mix with 25%, 50% or 75% of any ChromaSilk 10.03, 10.07 or 10.08 depending on what tone you want to land in.
