Official Contest Rules

Rules: All entrants are subject to the official contest rules, which are available at Pravana.com.

How to Enter: No fee or purchase is required. You will enter the contest by going to www.pravana.com and logging into the professional site, must be a licensed professional to participate. (1) you will need to complete registration form, (2) accept terms and conditions that apply, (3) upload the three photos along with description of technique. Once your entry is uploaded you will be prompted to agree to model release form, which gives the right of all photos to the property of Pravana to use . By participating in Show Us Your Vivids contest you are required to abide by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of Pravana, which are final.

Entry Materials: All uploaded images require: (1) one before photo of model holding a sign that says "before" and two after photos of the model. (2) you will also upload the name of your technique and the a description of technique and colors used (must be Pravana Vivids) All entrants materials must not exceed 5MB. Only one entry per contestant is permitted. Entries/Work will not be acknowledged or returned and may be used by Pravana for any purpose. (No inappropriate images will be allowed, and will result in disqualification. Pravana will decide if image is inappropriate.)

Eligibility: All entrants must be a licensed professional, at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States. Proof of cosmetology license will be required for the selected winners. Employees of Pravana, advertising and public relations agencies, educators and their immediate families, and person residing in their households are not eligible to participate. SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. By entering you agree that all submissions become property of Pravana and can be used for future advertising, publicity, website usage, or anything devised in the future. All submission will not be returned or acknowledged in the usage for Pravana. By entering your submission, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Official Rules, and you accept all of the policies referenced herein and agree to abide by its terms and conditions, and all applicable guidelines and regulations.

Contest Dates: You will be able to submit your entry starting July 1^st 2011 at 12am EST through August 31^st 2011 at 11:59pm EST. Winners will be announced September 5^th, 2011.

Winners: Shear Genius Winner, Brig Van Osten, will judge the contest and decision by judge will be final. Brig Van Osten will judge based on overall finished look, creativity and  originality. Contestants must list Vivids colors used, technique name and description of technique to qualify. All three winners agree to have all material submitted and their name in all future promotional activities, without future compensation except where prohibited by law. The prizes are not transferrable and must be accepted as awarded. No exchange for cash will be permitted and no refunds are allowed.  The value of the prize may be taxable as income. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes. All taxes, fees, and surcharges of prize are sole responsibly of winner.

Notification: Brig Van Osten will notify Winners through phone or email on September 5^th 2011. Failure to respond to notification within 5 business days will result in disqualification and next respective highest judged licensed professional entrant will be declared winner. Winners will be required to complete, execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, Grant of Rights/Publicity Release within a time period. Failure of winner to comply with requirement will result in disqualification and forfeit the prize (without any compensation).

Prize: There will be three winners selected in Show Us Your Vivids contest, a first, second and third. (1) Our first prize winner will be flown to a U.S. city for an editorial photo shoot  (date: TBD, Location: TBD) with Brig Van Osten. Image/s from the photo shoot will be published in a major salon industry trade publication no later than April 2012.  * All expense paid trip includes round trip flight and two night only at hotel of Pravana's choice. Value: $8,000. (2) Second prize will receive Pravana Vivids Glam Kit (Vivids hair color, ChromaSilk, Pravana hair care and styling products.).Value $1,000 (3) Third prize will receive: Pravana Vivids Glam Kit (Vivids hair color, ChromaSilk, and Pravana hair care and styling products). Value: $500.

Final Disclaimers:  Any inappropriate photos submitted by entrants are prohibited and will disqualify entrant immediately. (Inappropriate images will be decided by Pravana) All images, copy and text become property of Pravana once submitted and can be used for any purpose. Contest is only for licensed professionals. Decision by judge is final. Cash will not be issued in lieu of prize. By accepting the official contest rules you agree and will abide by all stated.
